Nightfall Wilderness Camp, Lamington National Park

We’ve mentioned this beauty of an escape a number of times but for good reason. One of Queensland’s most luxurious glamping sites, Nightfall Wilderness Camp (top image) in lush Lamington National Park (an hour southwest of the Gold Coast) ticks all the right boxes for a spa getaway with OTT romance. As if the camp’s luxury safari tents – decked out with timber floors, fireplaces and bathtubs – and the gourmet organic campfire dinners aren’t enough, Nightfall is also where you can get a massage above a rainforest-surrounded creek, lit with lanterns. The soundtrack here is also completely natural, with the sounds of the babbling creek and birdsong setting the scene. Sigh.

A purpose-built mountaintop spa with a plunge pool, open-stone fireplace and impressive treatment list, this haven of relaxation is one to love. Don’t leave without trying its signature treatment – the Mountain Woman (or Mountain Man) exfoliation, massage, foot treatment, facial and scalp ritual experience.
