Places to Stay

Nusa Dua & Jimbaran

Jimbaran Bay is one of Bali’s most luxurious havens, and home to one of the country’s most loved beaches. There’s nothing like watching a sunset from Jimbaran Bay with your sweetheart by your side.

While it was once a humble fishing town, now you can find world-class resorts and villas perfect for loved-up couples dotted through the village. Jimbaran is also idyllic for couples seeking peace and quiet, as there is little nightlife or partying. However, Jimbaran’s gorgeous white sandy beach and famous seafood dinners are not to be missed – the quintessential toes-in-the-sand dining experience.

Jimbaran is close to other Balinese centres including Seminyak and Kuta, so it’s not far to go if you’re hankering for a change of scenery or wanting to combine the best of both worlds on your Bali holiday or honeymoon.

Head south-east to discover the breathtaking area of Uluwatu. It’s here you’ll find the famous Balinese temple perched on a cliff on the south-west tip of the Bukit Peninsula. Picture perfect. An important note on this powerfully-beautiful locale: though its beaches draw surfers from around the world, some areas of Uluwatu are not ideal for swimming. So be sure to check before you dive in.

Some of Bali’s top resorts can be found here, designed around the dramatic cliffs and often with jaw-dropping views. The sunsets at Uluwatu rival the beaches as far as beauty goes. So even if you don’t stay, you’ll want to visit at least once to take in the scenery and maybe enjoy a candlelit dinner as the sun sinks into the sea.

Nusa Dua is still very much pitched at the luxury traveller – an upscale enclave of mostly five-star and beyond hotels and resorts on a lovely stretch of quiet, clean beach.

At Nusa Dua, honeymooners and couples won’t want for anything. It’s known as particularly all-inclusive, so all the sand, sun and relaxation you need is right here waiting for you. Nusa Dua’s reputation for luxury precedes it, with plenty of swanky resorts to choose from, catering to a couple’s every need.

Fine dining, five-star pampering, sight seeing or a day on the golf course… your holiday options are abundant here.
