10. Hyde Park Winter Wonderland – London, England
At Hyde Park Winter Wonderland you can spend an afternoon wandering through more than 200 market stalls, before enjoying fondue at Apres Ski Chalet and then an icy cold cocktail at the aptly named Bar Ice, where the bars and glasses are made entirely from ice. This year marks the 10th anniversary of Winter Wonderland and there are plenty of special events throughout the festival to mark the occasion.
Thrill-seekers can jump on The Munich Looping, the world’s largest transportable roller coaster, from the popular Oktoberfest in Munich, while romantics can watch Clara and the Nutcracker Prince fall in love in one of the world’s most-loved ballets, The Nutcracker – performed entirely on ice.
