Soak up views to the surrounding islands from Cape Kudu’s infinity pool
Discover an elegant oasis of tropical beauty and indulgence in Phang Nga
In the jewel-like waters of Phang Nga Bay, just east of Phuket, you’ll find a virtually unspoilt island of lush, tropical calm. This is Koh Yao Noi, home to serene holiday destination, Cape Kudu. In an intimate atmosphere of coastal chic, the hotel’s thoughtfully spaced rooms and villas create an abundance of privacy, where a friendly and capable staff provides exceptional service with a smile.
Escape the crowds while still enjoying the best of this idyllic region. The island itself is draped in neverending folds of evergreen forest which face the sapphire-blue waters of the Andaman Sea. Blessedly spared from development, Koh Yao Noi is the picture of laid-back loveliness. The local population farms and fishes, the nightlife is sedate, and time here is not spent — it is cherished.
Private pool villas perfect for couples
While the hotel’s well-appointed deluxe rooms are delightful, the elegant Pool Villas are a must for couples. Awash with soft, coastal-inspired tones, they provide the ultimate in refined comfort. Enjoy an expansive and generously appointed living space which opens on to your private plunge pool and furnished balcony. Offering a breathtakingly beautiful retreat, the quality is just as you’d expect from a member of the prestigious Small Luxury Hotels of the World group.
Sublime relaxation
When you’re not floating your cares away in Cape Kudu’s dazzling infinity pool (views out to the surrounding islands are magical) head to the spa. Here, a warm promise of refreshment and rejuvenation awaits you, in a space infused with the gentle glow of natural sunlight. Your expert therapist will guide you through the options and advise a selection of treatments to suit your needs. Thai massage, Swedish massage, a range of scrubs and a variety of techniques are available coupled with quality products or meticulously prepared massage compresses.
Unforgettable land & sea adventures
What trip to Thailand would be complete without an ocean adventure? Cape Kudu offers an exciting selection, including snorkelling, diving and kayaking the emerald waters, exploring nearby Koh Hong, Krabi, Koh Kudu, Koh Yao Yai and Koh Pak Bia by long-tail boat, and enjoying canapés and sparkling wine as you sail off into the sunset on the hotel’s own <Kantus Bride> yacht. Our tip? Complement a sunset cruise with an equally romantic sunrise picnic on a deserted island.
Back on dry land, while the thought of a bay, a beach, and a book sounds like heaven, there’s plenty of activities to tempt you from your sun lounger. For a taste of island life, watch local craftsman produce wonderful batik, enjoy the bustle of the markets, and pick up new skills with a cooking class. Feeling energetic? Cycle around the island to check out the mangrove ecology and try your hand at rock-climbing or Thai boxing before unwinding with pilates or a Thai massage. Then settle in under the stars and enjoy the moonlight cinema with a glass of bubbly in hand.
Local produce meets global flavours
A range of dining experiences will ensure your stay at Cape Kudu is full of indulgent moments. For a special occasion, private dining on the beach (with your own chef and waiter) is a truly memorable experience. Or enjoy delicious Thai flavours at a beach barbeque or sunset beach picnic.
Couples will also love pulling up a chair at the Hornbill Restaurant, overlooking the pool and across to Phang Nga Bay. Its traditional appearance is in keeping with the local environment while the menu reveals a modern international character. In the quiet evening, enjoy an alfresco cocktail and revel in the unspoilt nature of your surroundings before enjoying a meal cooked to perfection by Hornbill’s talented international chef. For a daily refreshment, head to the Long Island Bar or grab a coffee and snack at Café Kantary before the day’s adventures.
Arrive in style
From Phuket Airport, the private transfer service comes highly recommended. Relax as Cape Kudu’s limousine takes you on a short drive to Bang Rong Pier where you can wait in the comfort of the Cape Kudu Hospitality Lounge, with complimentary refreshments, snacks, Wi-Fi and magazines, until a speedboat is ready to ferry you across to Koh Yao Noi. A quick car drive will then deliver you to paradise at the Cape Kudu Hotel. Check with the hotel for times and charges.
If you’re arriving from Krabi, skim over the waves from Thalane Pier to Koh Yao Noi by speedboat in an exciting 20 minutes. For a more traditional treat, a long-tail boat will get you there in just over half an hour.
