Luang Prabang, Laos

Luang Prabang, Laos

“I’ve just come back from an unforgettable adventure in Luang Prabang, Laos. I can’t wait to go back there again! The vibe is so relaxing, the scenery is breathtaking and there’s a real genuine feel to the place – it felt like stepping back at least 20 years in time.

You’ve really got to see the incredible Kuang Si Falls while you’re there, plus the UNESCO World Heritage-listed old town and the beautiful Alms Giving Ceremony that the local monks do every day at sunrise.” – Tanya, Associate Publisher and Editor

Hooker Lake, New Zealand

New Zealand

“Visiting New Zealand is high on my to-do list, for sure! Unbelievable natural beauty, thrilling adventure, wonderful culture and a booming foodie scene – sounds hard to beat, if you ask me.

I’m super-keen to discover the mesmerising Milford Sound (ideally on the back of a horse), rug up in snowy Queenstown and see sights like Hooker Lake (pictured) and Lake Wanaka. Bring on that straight-from-NationalGeographic scenery!” – Emily, Feature Writer

Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka

“Sri Lanka has been high on my bucket-list for too many years to count! We plan to start in the bustling city of Colombo for a few days of sight-seeing and feasting on spicy street food. Then, it will be off to the beautiful Portuguese/Dutch colonial town of Galle to stay in one of the beautiful historic hotels in the Old Town and explore the streets around Galle Fort.

A few days of doing as little as possible and relaxing on the beaches of nearby Ahangama will have to happen, before heading off to explore the tea plantations around Ella. To top it off, we’d take the iconic seven-hour train trip Ella to Kandy through lush tea plantations, said to be one of the most beautiful train rides in the world. That’s my idea of holiday perfection!” – Natalie, Deputy Editor

Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe

South Africa and Zimbabwe

“We’re off to South Africa for two weeks, enjoying the magnificent scenery of Cape Town and its surrounds (the penguins of Boulder Beach will be a special treat!); the lovely Garden Route drive and taste-testing the wines of Stellenbosch.

Then, we fly to Zimbabwe’s Victoria Falls (pictured), followed by Chobe National Park in Botswana where we’ll go on safari – a magnificent three-week trip to a country we have never before visited!” – RhondaPublisher and Editor-in-Chief

Field of Light, Uluru

Uluru, Australia

“Australia is huge on the brain right now and I’m dying to visit Uluru! I’ve got to see Bruce Monro’s amazing Field of Light display (pictured) before it finishes up next year. It looks utterly magical!” – Chelsea, Production and Social Media Coordinator
