Seen through the floor-to-ceiling glass wall of our 21st-floor apartment, the vista of white-capped waves rolling gently onto golden sand is blissfully perfect! To our left, we have a view of the high-rise jungle of Surfers Paradise; to the right, an endless stretch of ocean and sand takes the eye to Coolangatta and beyond.
We’re staying at Encore, one of the newest and most impressive apartment developments in Broadbeach. Just a few minutes’ walk from the exciting restaurants, beautiful beach, and vibrant parklands this area is famous for, we’re already regretting not staying longer than a weekend.

Part of a recent building boom in Gold Coast accommodation, this well-placed escape five-minutes walk from the beach and Oasis Shopping Centre manages to stand out from the crowd. Rising 25 storeys in a series of voluptuous, sweeping curves, Encore opens into a triple-height lobby of soothing organic tones and luxe natural materials. The property’s signature curves and designer finesse flow into the public areas, which are truly outstanding!
Best Room for Two
Our two-bedroom, oceanfront apartment is stylishly decorated with a combination of natural elements — fusing timber, stone, and marble in the hard surfaces and luxury fabrics in the soft furnishings. I particularly loved the night sky of sparkling stars framed by floor-to-ceiling glass in the master bedroom and the roomy balcony off the living area. If you’re joining friends for a weekend of fun on the Gold Coast we suggest you book a three-bedroom ocean front apartment.
Food & Drink
It was so good to be able to walk to a dozen or more restaurants for lunch and dinner without thinking about moving the car until we left. Our favourite for lunch was pizza and salad at Gemelli Italian, Broadbeach on the Park and for dinner we couldn’t go past Sofias Restaurant and Bar, Victoria Street Mall, where the Prawn Linguine with chili and garlic is to die for!
Couples will Love
The 25-metre, stone-clad, heated lap pool and spa sited next to the barbecue and lounge space — an area where you’ll want to spend hours. There’s also a sauna, gym, and yoga lawn helping set the scene for a relaxing Gold Coast short break or holiday.
