Romantic Salalah is the home of this souq, where coconut groves and banana plantations thrive. It’s not the only thing on offer at Al Hafah Souq – you can pick up some of the highest-quality frankincense in all of Oman right at these very stalls.
One whiff of the fragrant Al Hojari perfume will make you realise just why this scent was once worth more than gold. Locals and tourists alike have flocked here for years and years to purchase the fragrance, among other things. Buy some frankincense (go on, you deserve it!), then take a look at some of the other products on display, such as textiles, clothing, gold and silver jewellery, and traditional artefacts.
