The Great Wall of China
Of course we had to mention the Great Wall. Rumoured to be visible from space, it’s no wonder why this awe-inspiring landmark makes the list.
Located just outside of Beijing, the Great Wall is one of those must-see sites. Its history spans thousands of years and it reaches a mind-boggling length of nearly 9,000 kilometres, although a recent survey indicates it may even be as long as 21,000 kilometres.
Various sections of the wall can be visited and walked, providing stunning countryside views. Wander along, hand in hand and be prepared to take a few hundred selfies.
