4. Inkaterra Reserva Amazonica Canopy Tree House, Peru
What: Built on a private platform 27m above the lush forest floor, Inkaterra Reserva Amazonica’s Canopy Tree House can only be accessed via the famous Inkaterra Canopy Walkway.
Where: In a 17,000ha private ecological reserve in the Peruvian south-eastern Amazon, reached by a 25-minute flight from Cusco.
Why: Incredible jungle sounds and close-up views of toucans, monkeys and other wildlife will ensure an extraordinary experience. There’s even a canopy butler – call them on your walkie talkie to arrange meals and excursions.
What else: Walk through the treetops – literally. Suspended 31m above the ground, and more than 400m long, it’s one of the largest canopy walkways in South America.
