4. Shonbrunn, Austria

One of the most important monuments in Austrian history, this UNESCO World Heritage Site was designed in accordance with the baroque notion of princely palace, where architecture and nature should be as one. Couples can be part of a tradition that dates back to the late 1700s of using the palace gardens for pleasure. Today, you can enjoy a coffee at the cafe in the Gloriette – a stunning structure in the garden reminiscent of a large gateway with a golden eagle perched on top. The Gloriette offers spectacular views over the lake and gardens to the palace in the distance.
