1. The Grand Garden of Dresden, Germany

Today this stunning site is used by the locals as a place of leisure, filled with couples and families settling down for picnics, roller-blading and in true European style, cycling the garden’s surrounds. This baroque-style palace was originally designed in 1676 as a hunting reserve, incorporating a variety of architectural styles of the time, borrowing from French and English traditions. Couples can take a romantic stroll around the gardens upon entering the palace grounds or wander around the lake and watch the swans. There are many little nooks on the outskirts of the palace gardens where couples can find a secluded spot under a weeping willow surrounded by wildflowers for a picnic.
