Cafe del Mar Phuket

Cafe del Mar Phuket

Known as one of Ibiza’s most iconic chill-out spots (and that’s saying something), Cafe del Maralso boasts a Phuket club on the shores of Insta-ready Kamala beach. The perfect place for kicking off your romantic escape or for unwinding by the water, the beach club is a winner for sunsets, DJs, sensational cuisine and stylish cafe atmosphere. Find yourselves a sun-lounger or pull up a chair at the open-air bar and order something off the menu (expect local flavours, plus Japanese and Italian influences). And top it all off by sipping on expert-made cocktails, taking a refreshing dip in the pool or dancing under the stars. Sigh.

Catch Beach Club

Catch Beach Club

Quite possibly Phuket’s most iconic beach club and favoured by the likes of Rihanna, Kate Moss, Rihanna, Jay-Z and Beyonce, the original Catch Beach Club made international news when the Thai government ordered Surin Beach be returned to locals and tore down all bars in restaurants along the stretch. It didn’t take long for management of swanky Twin Palms, the owners of Catch Beach Club, to develop a new outlet down the road at beautiful Bang Tao Beach.

Today, the ‘new’ Catch is impressing visitors all over again with its beautiful location, luxe infinity pool, breezy restaurant, two bars and iconic pub. You’ll find all the essentials here – think top-shelf spirits and tantalising cocktails, delicious fare and glamorous cabanas – but it’s the setting that really wins over couples. Situated on the southern stretch of the beach, Catch overlooks uninterrupted turquoise coastline and powder-white sands dotted with coconut palms. One last enticing reason to visit? You can actually get a massage here, right on the sand. That’s our kind of beach club.

HQ Beach Club

HQ Beach Lounge Restaurant

If you’re looking to basically just lounge around (we don’t blame you), do it in style at HQ Beach Lounge Restaurant on Kamala Beach. Specialising in lounge dining, this relaxed hangout is perfect for enjoying freshly grilled seafood, gourmet pizzas and summer-ready cocktails from your own seaside cabana. Put to the soundtrack of eclectic soul music and waves lapping the nearby beach, a chilled afternoon here is hard to go past. Stick around for when the stars come out and HQ heats up with fire-dancing performances and music you can’t resist swaying along to.

XANA Beach Club

Xana Beach Club

Set on a beautiful stretch of Bang Tao Bay, XANA Beach Club has it all: a 35-metre pool that sparkles when illuminated at night, private cabanas set on the sand and romantic poolside day-beds for reclining. With a talented lineup of DJs on the decks, this nightlife hotspot is also known for its themed party nights, exciting atmosphere and wonderful cuisine. Make your way over for brunch or one of their barefoot barbecue events on the beach before hitting the dancefloor.

Club akyra

Club akyra

If you’re seeking something exclusive, wile away the hours at Club akyra (part of the five-star resort, akyra Beach Club Phuket). With oceanfront dining, comfortable cabanas and loungers, live DJ performances, and delectable cuisine, it’s a stand-out option on Phuket’s Natai beach. Find a shady spot under the palms and get ready to watch an incredible sunset.
