It’s official: everybody loves the sunshine!
Sunshine Coast hinterland hideaway Narrows Escape Rainforest Retreat has just taken out top honours in Tripadvisor’s 2021 ‘Best of the Best’ Travellers’ Choice Awards. The Montville honeymoon favourite was named World’s Top Hotel for Romance, edging out a dreamy line-up of local and international escapes.
It was a full-on love fest for the Sunshine Coast with three boutique hotels taking out the top three positions in the Top 25 Hotels for Romance – Australia: Narrows Escape Rainforest Retreat, Bli Bli House Riverside Retreat, and The Falls Montville. Bli Bli House also scored third in the Top Hotels for Romance – World list.
According to the global review site, Tripadvisor, their Travellers’ Choice Best of the Best‘ lists are “drawn from the experiences of the best experts possible: Real travellers who’ve been there before…millions of travellers everywhere shared reviews and opinions based on those places and moments that left an impression.”
The Sunshine Coast beaches didn’t miss out either with Element on Coolum Beach announced as Top Hotel in Australia, pipping a luxe list of five-star hotels from southern states.
“What these awards show is that you don’t have to be big and grand to be the best,” says Visit Sunshine Coast CEO, Matt Stoeckel. “What clearly resonates most with travellers is the experience, the connection with the landscape, and the hosts who deliver the hospitality.
