Move over G&T, we have something a little more exotic planned for World Cocktail Day on May 13! Thailand’s most iconic dish can be sipped not slurped with the aromatic Tom Yum Cocktail. The signature drink at Banyan Tree Samui’s Froggy Sea Breeze Beach Bar is a lip-smacking concoction of:
vodka (60 ml)
lime juice (40 ml)
sugar syrup (20 ml)
lime wedges (6 pieces)
brown sugar (15 mg)
and the key ingredient – 100g of lemongrass. Simply mash and stir until juicy and then pour on ice. Banyan Tree’s chief mixologist Khun Berm recommends garnishing with a red chili and a slice of galangal, if available.
Then just sit back, sip, and float away to a dreamscape of swaying palms and smouldering sunsets. Cheers!
