Big kids and lovers of fairytales should head to “The Happiest Place on Earth” to celebrate 60 years since the first Disneyland theme park opened in Anaheim, California, on 17 July, 1955.

The diamond celebrations run until 12 August and include a new fireworks display (“Disneyland Forever”); the biggest and brightest parade in the history of Disneyland Park featuring one million colourful lights (“Paint the Night”), plus “World of Color: Celebrate!” – a 22-minute nighttime spectacular, featuring images from Disney and Disney-Pixar films projected onto an enormous outdoor water screen. It’s created by nearly 1,200 fountains shooting water up to 200 feet in the air.
