Are you feeling hunger pangs? After some delish food to share with your special someone?
If you’re answering yes to these questions we recommend heading to the Tweed for their food festival Nov 27-Dec 1 2013. This year’s Tweed Foodie Fest is a five day extravaganza of deliciousness.
The Tweed area is known for its agricultural production, and the Foodie Fest is an excuse to share that food with those in the area. Couples can turn the festival into an excuse for a romantic shortbreak full of mouthwatering food and beautiful surrounds. The Tweed has the best of both worlds: the sun and sand that the east coast of Australia is known for, as well as beautiful hinterland and charming towns to explore.
“Tweed Foodie Fest aims to educate both locals and visitors about where their food comes from, how it is produced and why it is important to support local industry. It seeks to create fun experiences that provide a meaningful connection with food; whether through an informative farm tour, a cooking class or a delicious meal based of fresh, local and seasonal ingredients.”
