Choose between heritage detailing in the original building and contemporary rooms in The Fullerton’s high-rise section, including this spectacular Martin Place Suite.

The H4C office is seriously considering a Sydney run this week to check out The Fullerton Hotel Sydney. Breathing new life into an iconic landmark — the former General Post Office at No 1. Martin Place — this glamorous opening is steeped in character and marks the first international expansion of The Fullerton Hotels and Resorts.

Renowned for their award-winning Singapore hotels (one is also housed in an historic GPO building), the brand knows five-star luxury. Choose between the heritage feel of the original grand dame of Martin Place, dating back to 1874, and the contemporary new tower. All rooms and suites feature a classic palette, indulgent comforts and thoughtful details, including Harman Kardon Bluetooth speakers, Nespresso machines, an interactive ‘Tapendium’ connecting you to all hotel services, and an extensive pillow menu. Settle in with your sweetheart for The Fullerton’s Signature Afternoon Tea (a high tea of heavenly proportions) or cosy up at the bar for a Singapore Sling cocktail or the new Sydney Sling.

The Place restaurant is bathed in natural light through the magnificent glass atrium and features a delicious Southeast Asian/Mod Oz menu.

In keeping with their heritage commitment, The Fullerton group has embarked on a multi-phase revitalisation project as well as offering complimentary tours to highlight the building’s vibrant history. “It is our aim to provide hotel guests and visitors with heartfelt hospitality and memorable experiences, all while showcasing the beauty and heritage of the former Sydney GPO building to a wider audience,” said General Manager of The Fullerton Hotels and Resorts, Cavaliere Giovanni Viterale.

A prestigious location, right in the heart of the city’s fashion and financial district, makes The Fullerton well-placed for any Sydney sojourn. And in a sweet touch, each guest room will include limited edition souvenirs; a complimentary postcard and Fullerton stamps, inviting you to post a note from the former GPO itself. See you soon, Sydney.

Specialist stonemasonry team Stonemason and Artist just completed a laborious 38,000-hour chemical-free cleaning process to restore the former GPO’s façade to its former glory.

See you soon, Sydney.
