Oysters & whiskey. We’re pretty much sold already. Excitement (and appetites) are building as Ireland prepares to showcase its food and drink scene in a major new event. Taste the Island will bring together innovative artisan producers and world-class chefs in kitchens throughout Ireland and Northern Ireland to create more than 500 indulgent experiences from 6 September to 30 November 2019.

Enjoy food trails and tours along the windswept coasts of the Wild Atlantic Way and the Causeway Coastal Route; distillery and brewery tours featuring hands-on workshops; buzzing food festivals and farmers' markets, and hundreds of opportunities to meet the makers. Highlights include a Harvest Moon Supper at Hook Lighthouse where guests can dine while enjoying the sunset and the Harvest moon rise over Hook peninsula in County Wexford; a celebration of food and cider in the orchards of County Armagh; and the Galway International Seafood and Oyster Festival. First course: September’s A Taste of West Cork festival in County Cork.
