Marvel at Japan's natural beauty on this fantastic small-group tour

A hot destination for 2019, Japan is sure to catch the eye of romantics when the air cools and the leaves begin to change colour. Perfect for couples wanting to see it all for themselves, exclusive rail tour specialist Railway Adventures has launched a new 'Japan by Rail - for the colours of Autumn' tour.

Journeying through some of the destination's most beloved spots, the 17-day small-group tour will include stops at Niigata, Sendai, Hakone, Kyoto, Himehi and Hiroshima. Departing from and returning to Tokyo, the experience features travel aboard the iconic bullet trains. Couples will also get to explore the charming Sagano Forest Railway, cruise around the Matsushima Islands and enjoy a white-water cruise on the Nagatoro River. Want more? There'll also be visits to sumo wrestling tournaments and dinners at a traditional Ryokan – it's enough to get our attention!

The tour includes travel aboard a steam train, plus the iconic bullet trains

Beginning in Tokyo November 5, 2019, Railway Adventures' latest offering includes 15 nights' quality accommodation with daily breakfast, a 14-day first class JR Rail Pass, luxury charter coach transport with luggage transport and entry fees to sightseeing excursions.
