If you've always dreamed of visiting Australia's Top End, now's the time to go. This August, the region will play host to an array of incredible arts events, including Darwin Festival, the Darwin Aboriginal Art Fair and the National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Art Awards. Yes, the new month is jam-packed full of amazing cultural experiences.

It all kicks off with Darwin Festival (August 9-26), with everything from live music and theatre to circus and comedy (look out for big names like Sam Simmons, Joel Creasy, Ross Noble, Urzila Carlson and Dave Thorton) on offer. Another highlight for the month, the Darwin Aboriginal Art Fair (10-12) will be a must-see for art-lovers, including workshops, fashion shows and art displays.

Capping it all off, the National Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Art Awards (August 11- November 25) will celebrate the outstanding artistic calibre of Indigenous artists. Officially launching the awards on August 10, a special event at picturesque MAGNT lawns is sure to be a hit with couples, featuring live music, dance performances and food trucks.
