This luxury Fiji resort is offering couples a unique tropical getaway experience

Looking for a tropical getaway with a twist? Fiji's Nanuku Auberge Resort has announced its partnership with local rugby coaches to offer guests exclusive three- and five-day training programs. We can think or worse places to learn the sport.

With access to a personal coach, couples can begin each day learning the essentials of the game at the nearby (and very picturesque) Pacific Harbour grounds before hitting the beach for a fun boot camp. There are also hikes through the dense jungle and friendly scrimmages against local villages to test your skills. Topping it all off and sure to help couples unwind after a day of training, couples can be treated to rejuvenating 60-minute massages at the resort's tranquil Lomana Spa.

Boot camp? Pass. On this beach? Sign us up!

Nanuku Aubuerge Resort General Manager Sascha Hemmann says the program is a great way for couples to immerse themselves in Fiji's culture. "From schoolchildren in villages running around in afternoon pickup games to organised local tournaments, rugby is a second religion here in Fiji," says Hemmann. "This program focuses on taking visitors off resort grounds and out of their comfort zones to learn, sweet and create a soulful discovery of their own."
