Head south for the winter and spot whales off SA's coast

Winter is here which, of course, means now's the time to treat yourselves to a romantic whale-watching experience. Inviting couples to travel south and spot the magnificent creatures for themselves, South Australia.com has shared some of the state's top whale-watching spots.

Known for its bright blue waters, the Fleurieu Peninsula is definitely worth a visit, according to the tourism insiders. With fantastic tours available, the destination is also where you'll find The South Australian Whale Centre – perfect for getting a few expert whale-watching tips before you hit the water. Also home to great vantage points and fabulous tours, Kangaroo Island and Eyre Peninsula round out the top three list.
