The Maldives isn't exactly lacking when it comes to luxury private island resorts, but this new offering has set a new standard. Introducing the new Fairmont Maldives Sirru Fen Fushi from AccorHotels…
Located on the Shaviyani Atoll in North Maldives, the new resort is home to 120 luxury villas, each with a glamorous private pool. Also boasting one of the county's largest resort lagoons and 200 metres of infinity pools, the beautiful hideaway is a paradise for water-loving couples – heck, its name translates (aptly) to 'secret water island' in the local Dhivehi language.
Adding to the list of luxe touches, Fairmont Maldives Sirru Fen Fushi is an all-villa resort – perfect for a private escape. Guests can choose from a luxury safari-style tented villa nestled in the island's jungle or a dreamy thatched-roof overwater villa.
Romantic experiences at this new resort aren't limited to just relaxing on the island's powder-white sands (but definitely fit in plenty of time for that). Guests can also enjoy cooking classes with a Maldivian master chef, fishing adventures aboard a traditional dhoni boat, sharing a special island picnic or stargazing from a yacht on an overnight cruise. There's also an underwater art installation from celebrated underwater naturalist and artist Jason deCaires Taylor to dive into and check out, after its launch in May.
