View of Kukusan Island from AYANA Komodo Resort

One of the world's most fascinating destinations is about to become a lot more accessible, with the opening of the first and only five star resort on Waecicu Beach, just off the coast of Komodo.

Opening summer 2018, AYANA Komodo Resort, Waecicu Beach will be located on the picturesque island of Labuan Bajo, just a one-hour flight from Bali. Considered the 'launching point' for trips to the home of the famous Komodo Dragon, Labuan Bajo is also known for its turquoise waters and incredible diving opportunities. Offering couples the chance to experience all this plus the wonders of Komodo, the new resort will overlook Komodo National Park and will run special excursions for couples wanting to see the giant lizards in their natural habitat.

Exploring Labuan Bajo is another must-do experience that will be made easy at AYANA Komodo Resort. A glamorous 54-metre, nine-bedroom phinisi (traditional Indonesian two-masted sailing ship) will take guests – either by full charter or bookable by bedroom – around the island for scenic two- or three-night trips.

Featuring glamorous accommodation, an impressive list of dining options, access to the mysterious Komodo National Park and excursions around Labuan Bajo, AYANA Komodo Resort, Waecicu Beach is set to become one of Indonesia's most incredible stays. To find out more, visit the website here.
