Pimalai Resort & Spa teams up with Ocean Quest to protect environment

Question: What do you get if you mix a luxury Thailand resort, a marine conservation group and 100 volunteer divers and snorkellers? Answer: One impressive conservation project.

In an effort to preserve the region's marine environment, our friends at Pimalai Resort & Spa have teamed up with coral propagation and marine conservation group, Ocean Quest to survey the evolution of an underwater coral reef nursery in the Koh Haa archipelago. Involving an impressive group of scientists and local businesses, the project aimed to generate interest in protecting the species – and it’s just been confirmed that this will now be an annual event.

Known for its picture-perfect surroundings, Pimalai Resort & Spa is located on the tropical island of Lanta in Krabi province. The new partnership is an important step for the resort, taking on the challenge of preserving Krabi's natural gifts.
