Known as ‘The Pearl of the Pacific’, Tahiti’s Bora Bora will soon be more polished than ever, with several hotel updates giving the island paradise a stylish new look and feel.

Conrad Hotels & Resorts prepares to take over the franchise for the Hilton Bora Bora Nui Resort & Spa, making it the newest hotel player to join the exclusive list of properties that call Bora Bora home.

The property will be the first Conrad hotel in Tahiti and will undergo a multi-million-dollar refurbishment before re-opening as the stunning Conrad Bora Bora Nui in early 2017.

Conrad Bora Bora Nui, located on Motu To’opua, an islet off the coast of Bora Bora, will offer 29 tropical garden and beach villas and 86 overwater bungalows, including the destination’s only double-storey Presidential Suites.

The resort will also feature a full-service spa, a kids club, mini-golf course, fitness centre and dining options including a modern take on a French Brasserie, a specialty beach restaurant serving Polynesian and Mediterranean cuisines, a contemporary Chinese restaurant, a swim-up pool bar and an overwater sunset bar and lounge.

The Intercontinental Bora Bora Resort & Thalasso Spa, operated by Pacific Beachcomber, will also receive a facelift with the addition of four new two-bedroom overwater villas with private pools, the addition of swimming pools to 10 overwater villas in the south branch of the resort, as well as a general refresh of all villas.

Le Meridien Bora Bora has just completed a refurbishment that saw its bungalows and food and beverage outlets refreshed, including a revamp of its picturesque Miki Miki and Pool bars.
