If you want to see the most OTT bridal suite on the planet, head to Qatar in September, when the Mondrian Doha is set to open its doors in the West Bay Lagoon area of Doha. There will be 270 rooms in total, but one in particular is set to make jaws drop.
The Opal Bridal Suite will be 600 square metres of pure luxury, decked out in crystallised mirrors and crystal chandeliers. As well as a master bedroom, spacious living room, formal dressing room and make-up room, hot sauna and soaking tub, there will even be a bridesmaid’s bedroom.
And if you decide that you need to get married here as well, the Mondrian Doha can also guarantee you the ultimate grand entrance: a 24k-gold caged elevator that will take the bride and groom directly to the spectacular 2,000-square-metre (i.e. enormous) Moonstone Ballroom.
Your guests can choose from five room categories, including massive penthouse suites, all of which include Swarovski crystal chandeliers and designer furniture. Designed in collaboration with Dutch designer Marcel Wanders, the property is also set to feature eight custom bars and restaurants, an indoor/outdoor rooftop pool bar, and the largest ESPA in the world.
