The Solomon Islands is quickly becoming a new tropical hotspot, with more and more Australian couples choosing to visit and tie the knot in the island nation. And with pristine beaches, picturesque rainforest and laid-back resorts set on private islands, it’s easy to see why.

Perhaps its most famous visitors, Prince William and Katherine, Duchess of Cambridge, are credited with the popularity growth, showcasing the Islands when they visited in 2012. Visitor numbers are expected to grow more, leading into the 75th anniversary of the Guadalcanal campaign and the corresponding commemoration of the John F. Kennedy rescue in August this year.
