Has the chilly climate got you dreaming of escaping to a tropical island for a romantic getaway? A new postcard-perfect destination to add to your travel wish-list, the InterContinental Hayman Island Resort welcomed its first guests today. With all the lovely trimmings and an impressive location, this Whitsundays island resort is perfect for a relaxing break or honeymoon.

Situated in the Whitsundays Islands’ northernmost point, the InterContinental Hayman Island has opened its doors after a $135-million refurbishment. Split into three luxurious wings (the Pool, Beach and Lagoon wings), the 166-room resort also boasts eight beachfront pool villas and a glamorous three-bedroom Hayman Beach House. Fronting the resort’s private beach, the 400-square-metre beach house has its own plunge pool, plus a grand master suite, lavish open-plan living spaces and unobstructed beach access.

There are luxe guest-rooms and suites, plus beachfront pool villas and the Hayman Beach House

Rounding everything out, a slew of marvellous dining options, a fantastic spa and an sensational array of available activities (think island hikes, swimming with turtles and helicopter tours) make the newly opened InterContinental Hayman Island one to watch.
