Spicers Retreats to open new Hunter Valley guesthouse

In Travel News by The H4C Team

Known for their glamorous accommodation offerings, Spicers Retreats have just announced the addition of another dreamy escape, Spicers Guesthouse Retreat. The second Hunter Valley property for the luxury hotel group, this new boutique hideaway has got us daydreaming of a romantic getaway. Can you blame us?

Set to open in November this year after an 18-month renovation process, the historic property will will boast 49 chic guest rooms (including a four-bedroom standalone cottage) and immaculate views of its valley surrounds. Spicers Retreats Owner Jude Turner says the latest offering will be more event-focused than the neighbouring Spicers Vineyards Estate. “The extensive refurbishment includes a vastly elevated design to match the surrounding mountain ranges and vineyards, and state-of-the-art conference facilities, a large-scale events or wedding gazebo, and private dining room with elaborate wine wall, housing the locally produced wines from Australia’s oldest wine region,’ says Turner. We certainly wouldn’t mind holing up here with our nearest and dearest for a fabulous celebration.

The new offering will feature a private dining room and 49 stylish guest rooms

Spicers Guesthouse Retreat will also entice foodies with its new Italian-inspired restaurant. Headed up by Spicers Retreat Hunter Valley Executive Chef Cameron Matthews, Eremo will celebrate local produce and the spectacular wine that the region is famous for.

Bookings for Spicers Retreats’ latest offering will be available to the public in September before opening in November 2018. For more information, visit the Spicers Retreats website here
