Sleep under the stars at Fiji’s Nanuku Island

In Travel News by The H4C Team

This is one for the romantics and thrill-seekers out there. Fiji’s Nanuku Auberge Resort is now offering guests the chance to sleep under the stars on the private Nanuku Island. The Ki na kalokalo (pathway to the stars) private island camping experience features an overnight stay, beginning with a cruise aboard the resort’s Nanuku 1 yacht.

Guests can explore the island and jet ski, swim, snorkel, kayak for an adventure-packed experience. Or for a really soul-enriching experience, they can join their hosts (the resort’s team of ‘Nanuku Buddies’) to help catch and prepare fresh fish, bamboo-pole cooked prawns and traditional kokoda for dinner. A highlight of the experience is at sunset when the ‘Buddies’ entertain guests with traditional songs and the sharing of centuries-old legends of Fiji. Left with a ‘survival kit’, mobile phone and a Tiki torch pathway to a discreetly located and hurricane lamp-lit outhouse, guests can spend the night under the stars in weather-proof tents or in comfortable hammocks.
