Sleep in a refurbished boat at this new Whitsundays resort

In Travel News by The H4C Team

We’re fans of quirky converted stays, here at H4C. So this new Whitsundays hideaway really floats our boat (pun intended). Now open for bookings, Freedom Shores in Queensland’s north invites couples to stay in reclaimed and refurbished boats.

Taking inspiration from its coastal location, the resort’s owners saved charming old vessels destined for deconstruction to create a unique couples’ escape. Situated in Woodwark (10 minutes west of Airlie Beach), Freedom Shores boasts an array of impressive accommodation options, including a former member of General MacArthur’s fleet in World War II. Inside each, guests can expect very comfortable furnishings and relaxed coastal-cool style.

Rounding out the whole ‘summer holiday’ experience, the resort also boasts an award-winning restaurant (don’t miss feasting on fresh seafood by the water) and proximity to some of the Whitsundays’ most loved spots.
