Let’s be honest, visiting the airport isn’t usually a highlight of travelling overseas. But this new mind-boggling airport in Singapore is set to be an attraction in itself. Opening April 17, 2019, the 10-storey Jewel Changi Airport will feature a hotel, more than 280 shops and… the world’s largest indoor waterfall. What a time to be alive!

Perfect for filling in time between flights, the airport will also be home to an indoor forest with bridges and walkways, plus one of the world’s largest indoor plant collections. The main draw-card, though, will be the impressive 39-metre ‘Rain Vortex’ waterfall (with light show, no less). Designed by world-renowned architects to immerse travellers in the beauty of nature, the Jewel Changi Airport is sure to be one of 2019’s most incredible openings.
