Prepare to raise a toast. South Australia’s $15-million, ultra-luxe lodge Sequoia is on track for a November 2020 launch and we are excited!
Set in the glorious highlands of the Adelaide Hills, Sequoia is named for the property’s giant Californian Redwood trees and shares prime real estate with the acclaimed Gatsby-style manor Mount Lofty House.
With panoramic views across the Piccadilly Valley, the secluded sanctuary is currently putting the finishing touches on its spring-fed hot pools and preparing to lavish guests with exceptional service and a selection of bespoke local experiences.
Just 14 elegant open-plan suites will offer 180-degree valley views, cantilevered balconies, plush king beds, light-filled bathrooms with Jurlique amenities, and fireplaces clad in local Basket Range sandstone.
Pampered guests will enjoy a raft of inclusions — gourmet breakfast, sparkling wine on arrival, and daily drinks & tasting plate among them — and access to the award-winning Mount Lofty facilities including Hardy’s Verandah Restaurant and Stables Day Spa.
We have eyes on the superb Sequoia adventures including winemaker lunches and back-vintage tastings, a tour of the RM Williams factory, and a twilight campfire where you can enjoy a glass of Adelaide Hills pinot while learning more about the region through local Indigenous stories.
You’ll also have five of Australia’s finest wine regions within an hour away. We’re talking big guns: Adelaide Hills, Barossa Valley, McLaren Vale, Eden and Clare Valleys.
Loving this lodge already.
