In Travel News by The H4C Team

Famous across the globe for its unique dishes and mouthwatering flavours, Macao’s cuisine is something that all serious foodies should try at least once. Allowing couples to do just that without flying overseas, an exciting culinary event is set to pop up in Sydney this October. Gourmands, get ready for Taste of Macao Food Month.

A fusion cuisine combining traditional Chinese and Portuguese flavours, Macanese cuisine tells a story of the nation’s colonial past. This October, couples can discover it for themselves at the North Ryde RSL. Sure to impress foodies, acclaimed Mecanese chef Palmira Pena will be lending her talents to the venue’s House of Tong Restaurant and will share her expert knowledge with free-to-the-public cooking demonstrations – definitely head along to get some fabulous tips!

Set to be a highlight of Taste of Macao, a grand carnival-style launch will showcase some of the cuisine’s most-loved dishes. Adding to the atmosphere of it all, there’ll also be traditional Chinese lion dance and drum performances throughout the event, plus Chinese calligraphy classes and virtual racing on a Macao Grand Prix simulator.
