The Kiroro Japan

Address:
Japan, Asia
Description:

At a glance:
Looking for a holiday in nature in early spring? The Kiroro, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel Hokkaido is right here for you. A grand presence amidst the surrounding Hokkaido mountains in Yoichi district, this getaway is perfect for couples who prefer the facilities and style of a luxurious four-season boutique resort.

Location:
Located in the heart of Japan’s iconic ski region, The Kiroro is part of the scenic and mountainous Yoichi District — just 90 minutes from New Chitose Airport, an hour from Sapporo or Niseko, and 40 minutes from Otaru.

Couples on a romantic getaway will love:
As well as the breathtaking scenery and local hot springs, the region’s most romantic must-do is a visit to the Nisa Bell. Take a 15-minute ride on the Kiroro Gondola to the top of Mount Asari (elevation 1,180 metres), ring the bell and make a wish. Enjoy a panoramic view of Ishikari Bay, the Shakotan Peninsula and the mountains of Niseko or double the summits with a hiking trail to Mt. Yoichi (elevation 1,488 metres).

Enjoy various outdoor activities only available in ‘green season’, including kayaking, riding a Segway and e-biking. At day’s end, couples can immerse in a 100% traditional Japanese hot spring bath at Nature Center.

Kiroro Resort Accommodation:
Choose from 281 guest rooms and suites which each offer a simple and sleek design inspired by indigenous Ainu artwork. Even the smallest rooms are a generous 30 sqm (larger than comparable hotels) with large windows and comfortable beds for sweet dreams. In selected rooms, couples can take in the spectacular view while soaking their cares away in a hot bath.

Best room for a romantic escape:
Deluxe rooms offer a beautiful view overlooking the Kiroro township, with some featuring a large soaking tub. After a day of nature exploration, couples can unwind on the couch, immerse in the tub, and sink into the comfortable king-sized Slumberland bed to snuggle under the super-soft duvet. Couples looking for a more traditional experience will love the Kiroro Japanese Suites which feature a spacious living room with separate straw-mat tatami room with futon mattress.

Dining & leisure:
The resort’s all-day dining Alpine Brasserie offers everything from premium coffee and cakes to seasonal set menus or à la carte, while Alla Moda restaurant delights guests with authentic Italian dishes. During summer season, there’s nothing quite like dining in the great outdoors, especially here at the edge of the woods at the foot of the Yoichi Mountains. Savour the finest, freshest beef, poultry and seafood, all expertly prepared and grilled on the barbeque (available from late June to end of August).

Spa & wellness:
Revitalise body and soul at the Kiroro Onsen Hot Spring, located at Nature Center. This is a wonderfully traditional Japanese experience, from the Oriental design of the entrance to the 100% hot spring water bath and cedarwood and stone saunas. Couples can enjoy separate moments of deliciously relaxing immersion then meet back and keep the blissed-out vibes going in the massage chairs of the dedicated rest area.
