The resort sits between rainforest and the calm sheltered waters of Welcome Bay on Fitroy Island, a large, easily accessible tropical island paradise just 29 kilometres (45 minutes by Fast Cat) off the coast of Cairns. Open daily for breakfast and dinner, Zephyr Restaurant offers exquisite Australian cuisine, created with care by world-class chefs using the finest seasonal produce. The ocean-facing restaurant boasts a romantic al fresco area overlooking the calm waters of the Coral Ocean. The island’s beer garden, Foxy’s Bar, is just 100 metres from the resort. Overlooking “Welcome Bay” it’s a fun and relaxed place in which to unwind with a cool drink and play pool or enjoy the live entertainment every Saturday afternoon.

Kayaking, snorkelling and paddle boarding are some of the fun activities on offer, as well as exploring the island’s walking trails: they range from an easy walk through the secret garden rainforest to a challenging hike up to the summit, where great photo ops of the magnificent view await. Complimentary events include fish feeding twice daily on the Fitzroy Island jetty, and daily movie screenings in a 50-seat movie theatre. As well as the cinema, other resort facilities include a large pool with swim-up bar, a water trampoline, dive shop, games room and resort general store.
