In Travel News by The H4C Team

If, you’re like us, and you regularly daydream about super-fresh seafood, set your sights for this fabulous foodie festival. Running May 3 and 4, the Narooma Oyster Festival in New South Wales’s stunning Forster’s Bay is sure to inspire a weekend away!

Celebrating oysters, of course, the exciting event will feature everything from an oyster-shucking competition and oyster tours to a popular Big Oyster Bar. Gourmands, it pays to go early – there’ll also be free, freshly shucked oysters on entry between 10am and 12:30pm on the Saturday. Prefer these tasty little morsels cooked? The festival also includes cooking demonstrations from renowned chefs – yes, please!

Throughout the two-day event, attendees will also be treated to live music and performances from Djaadjawan dancers.

A definite highlight will be on the Friday evening, when a special Long Table Dinner transforms the banks of the Wagonga Inlet into a glamorous gourmet gathering – think pre-dinner drinks, grazing tables filled with traditional Indigenous foods, plenty of Narooma oysters and a three-course long table dinner in a waterfront marquee, plus fireworks and entertainment from a nine-piece band. Sounds like the perfect evening to us!
