Looking for adventure? Well if the wilds of Western Australia are on your bucket list, start planning now. Kununurra (eastern gateway to the Kimberley region) will welcome RedSands Campers 4WD camper hire from April 2021.

It will be the fifth WA depot for the company, allowing campers to do one-way road trips along themighty Gibb River Road — a 660-kilometre track through the heart of the Kimberley, from Kununurra to Derby on the west coast.

An incredible landscape of towering gorges, pristine waterholes and waterfalls, and ancient scorched-orange rock formations awaits, with sights including the Windjana Gorge National Park, Lake Argyle, the million-acre El Questro Wilderness Park, and the Bungle Bungle Range in World Heritage-listed Purnululu National Park.

RedSands’ compact but comfortable campers and premium Landcruiser Prado 4WDs come with no one-way fees. Bonus! And if you like your outback adventure with a side of luxe, we highly recommend a stop at El Questro Homestead which also reopens April 2021 (check out their bath-with-a-view here).
