Much-loved for its tranquil setting and outstanding service, Noonaweena has taken out the bronze award in the ‘Hosted Accommodation’ category at the prestigious 2016 NSW Tourism Awards.
Winning bronze for a second time and placing as a finalist for a third consecutive year, the boutique retreat was recognised for its warm hospitality, quality lodges and serene bush location.
Translating to ‘resting place in the bush’ in the local Aboriginal language, Noonaweena is a 100-acre private property with four luxurious lodges in Kulnura, in the Central Coast region of New South Wales.
Also home to pop-up restaurant events and the Nourished Day Spa, the Eco-certified retreat is known for its environmentally friendly facilities and green initiatives, such as solar power and rain tanks.
Noonaweena director Jacquie Alley thanked guests for their support, crediting them with the retreat’s success: “We are honoured to be acknowledged as one of the best Hosted Accommodation venues in New South Wales,” she said. “We can’t thank our loyal guests enough for their strong advocacy and our amazing hosts, Rodney, Maureen and Simone, for treating our guests more like family than customers.”
