New Safari Cruise Comes to Nitmiluk Gorge

Explore the beauty and culture of the Northern Territory with one of the new safari cruises of the ancient Nitmiluk Gorge.

The Nitmulik Cultural Safari series combines the with exclusivity of a small tour with the rich cultural experience of being guided through the history and culture of the region by the Jawoyn people. The safaris involve not only a cruise, but also experiences such as basket weaving, spear-throwing and storytelling. 

According to the General Manager of the Cicada Lodge Tony Clementson, the new cruise product has been designed for guests at the Cicada Lodge to provide a new, totally immersive experience of the Gorge and culture of the Jawoyn people.

Ancient Garlarr Safari

  • Duration: 2.5 Hours
  • Rate: $150 per adult, $120 per child
  • Inclusions: refreshments

Bolong’s Dreaming Safari

  • Duration: 3 hours
  • Rate: $200 per adult, $170 per child
  • Inclusions: picnic lunch

Sharing Our Country Safari

  • Duration: 4.5 hours
  • Rate: $250 per adult
  • Inclusions: breakfast
