National Geographic honours The Havannah Vanuatu

In Travel News by The H4C Team

A heartfelt congratulations to The Havannah Vanuatu, which has just been named in National Geographic’s Unique Lodges of the World collection. It’s one of only four properties in the Australia/Pacific region (and one of just 61 in the world) to be accepted into this prestigious group. Handpicked by National Geographic sustainable tourism experts, these properties share a strong commitment to sustainable practices and protecting natural and cultural heritage.

The exciting news comes on the eve of the award-winning island sanctuary’s tenth birthday. Proud owners Liz and Greg Pechan say they are “thrilled to have their values and hard work realised” in this way. “It was such an honour having the National Geographic sustainable tourism expert visit our property, get to know all our staff and really learn what our lodge is all about and how we operate.”

Exclusively for adults, The Havannah Vanuatu is located on the luxuriant island of Efate, with a strong focus on community and environmental initiatives as well as exceptional guest experiences (we can vouch for their private pool villas, sublime!). Guests can also make a direct contribution of much-needed school and medical supplies through the resort’s ‘Pack for a Purpose’ program, benefitting the lives of local children and families.
