If you’re looking to hit the slopes in New Zealand next winter, you might want to visit Mt Mutt in Canterbury. For the third consecutive year, the ski resort has been named the best in New Zealand at the 2017 World Ski Awards.

Known for its friendly atmosphere, great customer service and exhilerating experiences, Mt Hutt (35 minutes north of Methven) has won over both thrill-seekers and those just looking for an exciting holiday. Mt Hutt Ski Area Manager James McKenzie says it’s a range of factors that have contributed to the ski resort’s appeal: “Put simply, it’s one big snowy playground with wide groomed slopes, top to bottom terrain parks and, when the mountain is really on, the most mind-blowing off-trail skiing and riding around.”

Getting to Mt Hutt is easy with regular flights to Christchurch Airport (90 minutes east of Mt Hutt) from other New Zealand destinations and Australia’s eastern seaboard. To find out more, visit the website here
