Pioneers of boutique adventures in Southeast Asia, luxury cruise company Pandaw has just launched a new seven-night Myanmar cruise. Sailing into the varied and vivid landscapes of the Irrawaddy Delta in 2018, the cruise will take travellers to one of the world’s most fascinating emerging travel destinations.
Including visits to temples, markets, local villages and ancient trading ports, The Great Irrawaddy Delta cruise also features an overnight stay in the five-star Sule Shangri-La Hotel in Rangoon and guide-led excursions to the nearby Schwegadon Pagoda. Departing the city on a round-trip, the RV Katha Pandaw will weave its way through a labyrinth of waterways only navigated by the most experienced pilots.
The Katha itself adds a touch of old-world glamour to the experience. Handcrafted in teak and brass, it offers just 16 spacious cabins, meaning a stay aboard is a very private one. Exquisite al fresco dining and personalised service add to the list of luxuries, while the jungle-clad Delta (stretching across over 2,589 square kilometres) offers views travellers won’t find anywhere else.
The cruise will depart March 10 for seven nights from $2,117pp twin-share. To find out more, visit the website here.
