Hat Chao Mai National Park Closed for Four Months

In Travel News by The H4C Team

Hat Chao Mai National Park, on the western coast of southern Thailand, is closed for four months and will re-open on 1 October.

This temporary closure takes place every year between 1 June and 30 September. It was introduced by the Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation in order to let the park have a break from tourists – and also to ensure the safety of those visitors during the monsoon season.

The park covers 230km2 of land and sea. Its unspoiled natural beauty makes it one of the most popular tourist spots in the Trang province.
