Located on the Sunshine Coast of Queensland, Noosa is an incredible destination for couples, with an abundance of luxury accommodation, beautiful scenery and gourmet delights.
It's a veritable foodie paradise with plenty of cafes, restaurants and places to pick up top-notch fresh produce.
Here's how you can spend your time exploring culinary wonders with a romantic 48 hours in Noosa.
Head to Noosa's Main Beach to the Season Restaurant. This offers a stunning fusion of picturesque beach views and delicious flavours.
The menu takes inspiration from fresh, local produce and always offers a creative twist on classic meals – topped off, naturally, by great service. For your main, sink your teeth into anything from pizza to the always-classic fish and chips or slow roasted pork belly. Vegetarians, there are plenty of options for you too! Dessert is not to be missed, with mouthwatering options such as a cherry ripe cheesecake, pear tarte tartin or citrus tart.
Ask the waiter for the perfect wine recommendation to go with your romantic feast for two and enjoy.
In the morning, take a short drive to the renowned Eumundi Markets. This operates on Saturdays between 7 a.m. and 2 p.m. rain or shine, so you've got plenty of time to head along and discover plenty of culinary goodies. (Yes, couples, that means you get a sleep-in!) This market has been held since 1979, so you know it has got to be good.
From laksa and calamari to paella, cakes, chocolate and coffee, there are plenty of sinful delights to sink your teeth into.
Once you've eaten your fill, explore the rest of the market's wonders with your sweetheart, including art, furniture and fashion, and various live entertainment and performers. There are even palm readers if you want to get a glimpse into your future!
For lunch or an afternoon sweet treat, definitely make your way to the Hastings Street Bakery, which is just a stone's throw away from the Main Beach. This is famous for serving up some of the most mouthwatering baked items you could dream of, from croissants and pastries to its award-winning pies.
For dinner we suggest heading to Coconut Grove Bistro for a sumptuous meal. With a relaxed ambience and delicious meals, such as scallops or tempura fried coconut prawns, you can expect a taste sensation. The menu regularly changes due to seasonality, so you know they're always keeping things fresh here. And don't forget about dessert! White chocolate pannacotta anyone?
On Sunday, make your way to the Noosa Farmers' Market. This takes place every Sunday at the Noosa Australian Football Club on Weyba Road, Noosaville between 7 a.m. and 12 p.m. Here you'll find even more fresh, local produce in a gorgeous natural setting. Make sure you arrive as early as possible so you can enjoy all the best bits before they sell out!
Grab your fill of natural and organic fruit and veg before filling up on freshly squeezed juices and smoothies. Don't forget to top up your supplies of sauces, olive oils, rich cheese and artisan bread or browse the various types of natural skincare on offer. Why not grab a selection of local produce and settle down for a private, romantic picnic just for two? After all, you're on a romantic getaway – better soak up as much time together as possible!
Then there's the seafood, the coffee and hand-crafted items to taste and enjoy. Your experience will also be complemented by plenty of live music and entertainment, and lots to keep the kids occupied as your wander the stalls, including a bouncy castle.
If you're still hungry after all of this, make your way to the stunning Bistro C, which overlooks Noosa's Laguna Bay. Dine outside by romantic candlelight as you watch the waves roll in, enjoying fresh produce and fine dining. We think it's the most perfect way to finish off your romantic foodie getaway to Noosa.
