If you’ll be in Queensland’s south this weekend, be sure to head over to Surfers Paradise on the Gold Coast for this explosive event. Australia’s only international fireworks competition, SeaFire (May 31 – June 1) will be one for the romantics and kidults out there!

Brining together teams from around the world to show off their skills, the festival will illuminate Surfers Paradise’s iconic skyline for two spectacular nights. There’ll also be thrilling aerial spectacles (think stuntmen and skydivers) and plenty of exciting cultural performances. A celebration of multiculturalism, SeaFire will feature everything from Korean fashion parades to Cuban Salsa and Bollywood dancing.

Of course, the festival’s main attraction will be its magnificent fireworks displays. For a magical evening, find the perfect vantage point and watch world-class pyrotechnic displays choreographed to musical soundtracks. Sounds like the perfect excuse for a romantic weekend away, if you ask us!
