The historic streets of Macau are set to come alive with incredible festivities planned to celebrate Chinese New Year.

Couples can experience colourful parades, highly-charged performences, bright lights, fireworks and much more to ring in the Year of the Monkey.

On both the third and sixth day of the Lunar New Year, (February 10 and 13) as many as 14 floats will form a street parade. More than 1,300 local and international street performers will entertain the crowds during the processions. The parade on the 13th is a particularly stellar affair, being broadcast by television networks internationally.

Not to be missed is the legendary Monkey King who will bestow New Year blessings on patrons in the Celestial Court.
