It’s become one of the coolest (pun intended) festivals in Australia and this year’s Dark MoFo promises to be one to really remember. Running 14-23 June in Hobart, the winter solstice-inspired event has announced an impressive lineup, including musical acts like FKA Twigs, Sampa The Great, Augie March and Sharon Van Etten. Transforming Tasmania’s capital into an underworld-esque playground, the 7th annual Dark MoFo will feature a slew of events held at venues like churches and even an old blood bank. Sure to be a highlight, Hobart’s famous MONA museum will showcase work from artists Ai Weiwei, Oliver Beer and Alfredo Jaar. After something a little more action-packed? Thrill-seekers, shed your inhibitions and join over 1,000 brave participants for a nude swim at Sandy Bay – it’s definitely not for the faint of heart.
