Get excited, people! Dark MoFo 2019 programme announced

In Travel News by The H4C Team

It’s become one of the coolest (pun intended) festivals in Australia and this year’s Dark MoFo promises to be one to really remember. Running 14-23 June in Hobart, the winter solstice-inspired event has announced an impressive lineup, including musical acts like FKA Twigs, Sampa The Great, Augie March and Sharon Van Etten. There’ll also be an array of unique celebrations (like the popular Winter Feast, above) and immersive art exhibitions. Now’s the time to embrace your dark side, travellers…

Transforming Tasmania’s capital into an underworld-esque playground, the 7th annual Dark MoFo will feature a slew of events held at venues like churches and even an old blood bank. Sure to be a highlight, Hobart’s famous MONA museum will showcase work from artists Ai Weiwei, Oliver Beer and Alfredo Jaar. After something a little more action-packed? Thrill-seekers, shed your inhibitions and join over 1,000 brave participants for a nude swim at Sandy Bay – it’s definitely not for the faint of heart.
