Can’t wait to visit Vietnam? Same. And one more enticement just hit our inbox in the form of Azerai Ke Ga Bay, a new boutique beachfront hideaway overlooking the East Sea on the scenic south coast.
Framed by Ke Ga Island and its historic colonial French lighthouse to the north and soaring sand dunes to the south, this is a low-key fishing region also known for its seaside salt fields and vibrant dragonfruit farms. The site itself was previously home to the Princess D’Annam Resort & Spa and an extensive renovation now celebrates the coastal locale within a refined aesthetic.
Just 46 stunning suites evoke a sense of calm with their contemporary comforts and muted natural palette, with ten offering either a plunge pool or larger private pools. Yes please! You can also cool off in the resort’s four well-positioned swimming pools or retreat to the oceanfront Azerai Spa which includes four double rooms for pampering à deux.
Dining promises to be a highlight (this is Vietnam after all) with The Terrace, The Dining Room and The Living Room providing a variety of dining and lounging options, including alfresco beach views and relaxed poolfront tables for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Local delicacies pull focus on the plentiful offerings from the East Sea.
Located around three hours east of Saigon, this is the third property in Azerai Resorts’ growing portfolio of discreetly luxurious escapes. Founded by pioneering hotelier Adrian Zecha (he also founded the legendary Aman Resorts brand!), Azerai is all about simple pleasures, cultural immersion, and “feeling at home in an unfamiliar place.” Well said.
“Azerai Ke Ga Bay offers much that travelers would look for in a secluded beach resort — panoramic ocean views, lush ginger gardens with tropical trees and flowers, and a location that’s close enough to be easily accessible but far enough away to offer real privacy and escape,” says Mr Zecha. “Like at our other resorts, the destination is just the beginning.”
Couples will love: the gentle rhythm of the tides and romantic sense of discovery and seclusion.
